scheduled RE-opening in summer 2026
Grand Bahama Ruby Golf Course
Resurrecting a premier golf destination in the heart of Grand Bahama Island.
A Legacy of Golf in Grand Bahama
Grand Bahama Ruby Golf Course has been a cornerstone of the island's golfing community since its inception.
Established with a vision to provide an unparalleled golfing experience, the course combines the natural beauty of Grand Bahama Island with expertly designed holes. An 18-hole, par 72, courses originally designed by Dick Wilson and Joe Lee in 1964, the course was later redesigned by world-renowned Jim Fazio Golf Design, Inc. The Ruby Golf course stretches over 7,000 yards, with wind swept island breezes coming into play, plays along tree-lined fairways to lush greens.
Over the years, with Hurricane Dorian and the COVID lockdowns, the course fell into disrepair and was closed.
To compound matters the only 18 hole golf course in Grand Bahama Island, the Reef Golf Course at Our Lucaya, is expected to shut down in April 2026, leaving the Island with no functioning golf course.
Vision for the Future
Now thanks to the passion of a group of dedicated local Grand Bahamians led by Rupert Hayward, plans are underway for Grand Bahama's Ruby Golf course to rise from the proverbial ashes.
This will be a community effort and we are looking for investors, those interested in being founding members, donors, future playing members, volunteers, and anyone else who would like to aid our efforts to make our vision a reality.
